Ignore City Invoices for Recycling

May contain: person, human, recycling symbol, and symbol

A townhome resident reported yesterday that the City sent them an invoice for recycling. If you recieved a bill from the City for recycling, you can ignore it. The District's recycling service for all townhome residents is provided by CRI.

The District's contract with CRI is paid in full through 7/31/22.  The District confirmed with CRI this morning that Lowell Village townhome residents do not need to pay the City for recycling at this time.  CRI was recently purchased by the City.  Apparently there have been some invoicing mix-ups during CRI's switchover to the City's billing system.

The curbside recycling service for Lowell Village townhome residents is paid for from the District's operations and maintenance property tax mill levy, assessed on all owners of real property within the District. To our knowledge, Lowell Village is the only residential subdivision in town to offer curbside recycling pick-up for all residents.
