Where: The Historic Lowell School Building, 310 N. 7th Street at Grand Avenue, Downtown Grand Junction, CO 81501.
When: Friday 8/7 from 5pm - 9pm. Specific operating hours for each participating businesses may vary.
Details: Food Truck Fridays @ Lowell School is the Grand Valley's ONLY WEEKLY food truck event! This week's event features:
> 10 Food & Beverage Vendors open to serve you: Armando Tacos, Brutal Pie, Hawaii Street Food, Hot Ice Cafe, Gemini Beer Company, Lawson's BBQ, Mountain Berry Bowls, Slider Shack, The Little Pink Truck, and Triple Goddess Bakery. All the food vendors have different menus, so everyone in your group can get what they like to eat!
> FREE Tempo Open Mic with prizes hosted by Jacob Noe starting at 6pm. Any performing artists are welcome to participate (music, comedy, poetry, dance, etc.). Part of the Lowell School Building's concert series "Hall Pass." Come support live local music (and all the performance arts) at the quirkiest little venue on the Western Slope!
> Beverage Discounts at Gemini Beer Company located in "Classroom 5." Teachers always get $1 off their beverages every Friday!
> FREE First Friday Art Exhibit hosted by Gemini titled "Drawn to the Desert: The Art of Jeremy Rice" showcasing work inspired by a year exploring Western Colorado's National Conservation Areas. To celebrate this art exhibit and support conservation efforts, Gemini will donate $1 from every beer sold on Friday 8/7 to the Colorado Canyons Association.
> FREE Kid's Meals & FREE Kid's Ice Cream! To celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Historic Lowell School Building's completion, the first 100 kids age 12 and under in attendance will get a FREE kids meal with purchase of any regular entree from Slider Shack or a FREE kid's ice cream (cone or cup) with purchase of any regular ice cream or beverage from Hot Ice Cafe! Just ask for the "Lowell School Kid's Deal" when you order!
> Bonus Fun: GJ BikeNight ends their weekly Friday ride at the Lowell School Building / Gemini tonight!
> Lots of Indoor & Outdoor Seating. There's plenty of seating inside the Lowell School Building and outside on "The Commons" (front lawn of the building and new public open space in Downtown Grand Junction). You can also bring your own camp chairs or picnic blanket for your entire group to use. So drop by 7th & Grand to say hello, no matter the weather!
