Details: Food Truck Fridays @ Lowell School is the Grand Valley's ONLY WEEKLY food truck event that happens EVERY FRIDAY ALL YEAR LONG! This week's event features:
> EUGENE GROVES BIRTHDAY PARTY! Tonight is the annual celebration of the Lowell School Building and its noteworthy Colorado architect Eugene G. Groves. To celebrate, we've got 100 free birthday cupcakes from Triple Goddess Bakery and 100 collectible beer glasses with the Lowell School logo from Gemini Beer Company (only $12 with filled with beer or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice and you keep the collectible glass)!
> SIX GREAT FOOD TRUCKS at "The Food Court" just north of the former schoolhouse: Armando Tacos, Brutal Pie (catch 'em before their March hiatus), Hawaii Street Food, Hot Ice Cafe, The Little Pink Truck, and Slider Shack (with $5 kids meals). All the food trucks have different menus, so everyone in the family can get something they like to eat!
> FREE LIVE MUSIC starting at 6pm from Emil Hartter playing an eclectic set on the Lowell School's freshly-tuned "public pianos." Part of the Lowell School's winter concert series "Hall Pass." Come support live local music at the quirkiest little venue on the Western Slope!
> FREE KID-FRIENDLY MOVIE (TBD) starting at 7:30pm upstairs on the 2nd floor. We'll have chairs set up for the kids, or they can bring a pillow and blanket from home and sprawl out on the floor. Kids age 8 and younger must be supervised by an adult!
> TWO WELLNESS CLASSES offered by Moksha Ltd. in "Classroom 8". The "Dynamic Fusion" class starts at 4:30pm and the "Restore" class starts at 6pm. For class description, pricing, and registration see mokshaliving.offeringtree.com.
> GIRL SCOUT COOKIE pairings with select Gemini Beer Company beverages and boxes of Girl Scouts cookies also available for purchase. Plus educators always get $1 off all beverages every Friday from Gemini in "Classroom 5."
There's plenty of public seating inside The Historic Lowell School Building and outside on The Commons (front lawn of the building and newest public park in Downtown Grand Junction). So drop by 7th & Grand to say hello, no matter the weather!
