What:  First Friday Art Happening @ Lowell School:  2 New Exhibits + 2 Open Houses

Where:  The Historic Lowell School Building, 310 N. 7th St., Downtown Grand Junction, CO 81501

When:  Friday 4/5 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Details:  The March "First Friday Art Happening @ Lowell School" includes 2 new exhibits and 2 open houses. Here's the rundown:

  • Classroom 11:  ArtLight Therapy and Studios is opening the new exhibit "In Between" featuring artist Jocelyn Murray. "Times of transition are often uneasy — rarely comfortable — but there can be growth in surrender and a silver lining if you look for it. In Between explores going with the flow versus being the flow while navigating the transitions of moving, relocation, loss, healing, integration, and feeling In Between.
  • Classroom 8:  The Raw Canvas tattoo studio will be hosting an open house.
  • Classroom 7:  Of Dirt and Wildflowers: A Creative Space to Grow and Bloom is holding a Creator's Open House with a display of works by several local artists and creatives.
  • Confluence Studios (across the street from Lowell School at 7th & White):  Confluence Studios is hosting the opening reception of their "Gifts for the Goddess" showThis exhibit features work from a community of artists who celebrate the creative spirit. There will be an ephemeral altar that all are welcome to contribute to in honor of the return of spring and the exuberance of creative blossoming. Refreshments available.

Plus, it's another Food Truck Friday at the Lowell School: 

  • Food trucks, live music, and local articans:  6 awesome food trucks will be serving dinner as part of the Food Truck Fridays@Lowell School.  There will also be live music from The Altacoustics and several local arts & crafts vendors.
  • Craft Beer:  The Gemini Beer Company taproom will have their award-winning craft beer and non-alcoholic beverages available in Classroom 5 and out on The Commons (front lawn of the Lowell School and a public open space open to the entire community).
