What:  First Friday@Lowell School: 3 Art Events + 6 Food Trucks + 1 Taproom

Where:  The Historic Lowell School Building, 310 N. 7th St., Downtown Grand Junction, CO 81501

When:  Friday 3/1 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Details:  The March "First Friday@Lowell School" includes 3 art events as well as the launch of "Food Truck Fridays@Lowell School." Here's the rundown:

  • Classroom 11:  ArtLight Therapy and Studios is opening a new exhibit featuring painter Tony Crocetto. This exhibit includes a selection of representational and abstract studio paintings, some plein air landscapes, and some multi-color metal plate lithographs.
  • Classroom 7:  Of Dirt and Wildflowers: A Creative Space to Grow and Bloom is holding a Creator's Open House on the theme of "Welcoming Spring" with a display of works by several local artists and creatives. 
  • Confluence Studios (across the street from the Lowell School):  Confluence Studios is hosting a special pop-up exhibit and interactive talk paying tribute to women in the arts through history in celebration of Women's History Month.
  • Food trucks:  6 food trucks will serving dinner for the kickoff of Food Truck Fridays@Lowell School.  There will also be live music, activities for kids, and local artisans.
  • Taproom:  Gemini Beer Company will have their award-winning craft beer and non-alcoholic beverages available in Classroom 5 and out on The Commons (front lawn of the Lowell School and a public open space open to the entire community).
