Where: The Commons @ The Historic Lowell School Building, 310 N. 7th St., Downtown Grand Junction, CO 81501
When: Saturday 10/28 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Details: The Poe Project and the Mesa County Historical Society invite you to an Eclipse Carnival to celebrate the partial lunar eclipse this year. The Carnival will include activities for the whole family, including:
- Turn of the Century Costume Contest. Categories for Adults, Teens, Kids, and Pets!
- Kids Activity Booths. Register here if you'd like to have a booth at the Eclipse Carnival.
- Performances from Eclipse the Musical. Written by Scott Betts and adapted from Eclipse, the first novel of Dalton Trumbo (the man in the bathtub on Main Street). Dalton Trumbo grew up in Grand Junction and wrote Eclipse about a fictionalized version of the town.
100% of proceeds go to the Grand Junction Chapter of Optimist International an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Horizon Drive District for students from low-income and first-generation households.
